Some background information:
Michael Tollemache has worked in the London art market for over 40 years.  With a MA degree in History of Art from Cambridge, he served a term at Sothebys and in 1967 formed his own art-dealing company.  He has been Chairman of The Society of London Art Dealers SLAD and remains a Special Advisor; he has been Vice-chairman of The International Confederation of Dealers in Works of Art CINOA and is the British representative on their Administrative Council; he advises the British Government’s Museums, Libraries & Archives Council and sits on The Advisory Council on the Export of Works of Art MLA. He has been appointed as director of publicly quoted art-dealing companies and is familiar with corporate governance.
